Discussing the "Basics"

We've proposed using the building on the west side of the property, measuring 48ft long by 15 ft wide, for boarding the dog guests. The building currently houses farm equipment. With the addition of a south facing wall and the extension of both water and electricity lines it can be a relatively "easy" transformation. After extensive research, I'm considering installing 5x5 indoorkennels leading through guillotine doors to 5x10 outdoor kennels.

The outdoor kennels will lead into a large corral that will be transformed into the doggie play area. Most of the play area will remain dirt (very exciting for our digging guests) while I plan to add some type of ground cover to the individual outdoor kenneled areas - grass, wood mulch, turf (any advice or feedback on this w
ould be greatly appreciated.) I will add a pool for hot days and other play/exercise equipment to keep the dogs stimulated. The design of the play area is very important to me as I plan to have the dogs out of their kennels as much as possible.
